Welcome to Pollywogs Child Development Center, where we nurture a love of learning through engaging, hands-on experiences tailored to each child's unique journey. Our holistic approach ensures that every child develops in a supportive and enriching environment. Located in the tranquil setting of North Stonington, our nature-inspired space and STEM curriculum allow young learners to thrive. With a spacious 3000 square foot indoor play area, we provide ample opportunities for energetic play and gross motor skill development, all while adhering to Connecticut's Early Learning and Development Standards.

At Pollywogs, every day is filled with meaningful opportunities for children to learn, explore, and grow. From daily outdoor adventures and tending our garden to harvesting fresh vegetables, children develop a connection to nature while building curiosity and confidence. Hands-on science activities, sensory exploration, and play-based learning encourage children to ask questions, solve problems, and discover the world around them.
Our classrooms foster strong social-emotional development, helping children build friendships, express their feelings, and develop empathy, resilience, and independence. Through rich conversations, storytelling, songs, and purposeful interactions, our language-rich environment supports communication and early literacy every day.

Pollywogs is a place where learning comes alive through play! Our expansive 3,000 square foot indoor play area is designed for fun, providing a perfect hang-out space for our after-school kids. Outside, the adventures continue with opportunities to explore, take walks, watch the garden grow and learn about their behavior or work in the garden. With over 2.5 acres of land, there's always something exciting to discover together!
FOOD PROGRAM
Pollywogs embraces a holistic approach to each child's development by nourishing both mind and body. Each year, our preschool children cultivate a vibrant vegetable garden which we incorporate their homegrown produce into our whole food program. With a commitment to natural composting and no pesticides, we ensure that every meal is wholesome and healthy. Pollywogs provides all meals and snacks, featuring only whole, natural, non-processed foods, including fresh eggs from our very own chickens, all prepared daily!
